Robin de Jesús is Michael in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s new musical film, “tick, tick… BOOM!” The movie is based on the autobiographical musical from Jonathan Larson (the creator of “Rent”) and tells the story of Jon, a young musical composer determined to make all his dreams come true before he runs out of time. Caitlynn McDaniel caught up with Robin de Jesús to talk about getting the call from Miranda, working with the amazing cast, and the homophobia that comes when two men show intimacy on screen.
