Scream is back! And with a new movie comes a new killer, of course. Sit back as we take off the iconic Ghostface mask to get to know the stars behind our favorite slasher film. Caitlynn McDaniel got the chance to speak with Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown about the new movie and Jasmin talked about her queer character, Mindy Meeks-Martin, “Mindy's queerness isn't a part of her personality, it's just who she is. The writing and the direction, everyone did a really good job at making sure this is a fully fleshed out human being, who isn't defined by her sexuality, and I think it's really great that then they cast a queer woman of color to bring her to life, who was able to bring myself to the role and collaborate with them on making small tweaks to make things even more authentic.”
