Riots and unrest takeover parts of Amsterdam in the wake of Morocco's 2-0 defeat of Belgium in the World Cup

Belgium's World cup defeat by Morocco sparked major riots in the Netherlands.

Footage, from the Mercatoplein area of Amsterdam, shows hundreds of people in the square as projectiles are thrown, fireworks are let off and cars are damaged.

The unrest was sparked by the Moroccan national team's 2-0 win over Belgium, a major upset for the Red Devils.

The filmer tweeted: "They completely destroyed a passing car and are now setting it on fire.
