Diving pool or escape tunnel? Huge pit at New Bilibid Prison sparks speculation

Suspended Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gerald Q. Bantag, who has been charged in two murder cases before the Department of Justice (DOJ), claims he had a huge pit dug beside his official residence for scuba diving, not as an escape tunnel for inmates. The huge pit is estimated to be 60 meters (197 feet) deep and 40 meters wide.
