Gove admits there hasn’t been enough change since Grenfell

  • last year
Housing Secretary Michael Gove admits to ITV News that his government have not been quick enough to introduce change to housing regulations following the Grenfell Tower Fire in 2017. In an exclusive interview with ITV News, the cabinet minister says: "Lessons were learned [after Grenfell] but the process of implementing changes hasn't been either as quick or as complete as it should be". Mr Gove made the comments as he visited a family on the same Rochdale housing estate where Awaab Ishak died in December 2020. Report by Patelr.
