Olinguito One Of The Cutest And Exotic Animal In The World

The olinguito /olito/ [3] (Bassaricyon neblina) is a raccoon of the Procyonidae family that lives in the Andes of western Colombia and Ecuador. In 2013, it was determined to be a new species. The specific name neblina is Spanish for fog or mist, and refers to the olinguito's cloud forest habitat.

The olinguito was named one of the "Top 10 New Species of 2014" by the International Institute for Species Exploration on May 22, 2014. It is the Western Hemisphere's first new carnivoran mammal to be described in 35 years.
