Leeds landlady reacts to living wage increase set out in Jeremy Hunt's Autumn mini-budget
  • last year
Hospitality bosses say they’ve taken a battering in the budget despite the business rates cut - due to record inflation levels and a minimum wage rise on top of spiralling energy costs. Landlady Nicola Moxham, 43, who runs the Mustard Pot pub in Leeds said: "For us, in business rates, we pay £120,000 each year, which is a lot. Restaurants of the same size pay £20,000. For us it’s huge.”
