Extinction Rebellion protestors staged a demonstration in Birmingham on Monday morning which saw them throw fake oil at Barclays. The group staged the demonstration on the High Street against the bank, stating they are the biggest finder of Fossil Fuels in Europe.

The brother of the man stabbed to death in Small Heath on Monday 7th November has been charged with his murder. Lenville Waite was detained on Friday in connection with the death of 56 year old Clifton. He is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court.

Birmingham is set to be the first city in the UK to host the European Athletics Championships. It will take place in 2026, bringing together Europes top athletes to the city. The bid win follows from an exciting summer of athletics in the city and will be hosted at the newly renovated Alexander Stadium.
