Anifah Aman: I rejected Zahid's offer, vote for Harapan

Former foreign minister Anifah Aman has claimed that Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi promised to make him a minister in the new government provided he did not contest in the 15th general election.

Anifah said at a Pakatan Harapan rally that he was also told he would be made a senator.

"That (offer) is not what I want. What I want is for all that’s enshrined in the Constitution and the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) to be fulfilled. That’s what I’m struggling for,” he said.

The Parti Cinta Malaysia president said he turned down the offer and encouraged those at the rally in Sepanggar, Sabah to vote for Harapan.
