How Wunder Became the Quiet Bedrock of G2's LoL Super-Team
  • last year
G2's current line-up is arguably the greatest League of Legends team Europe has ever produced.

In 2019, they took the game by storm, smashing through the LEC in Spring before claiming the Mid-Season Invitational, and returning home to dominate domestically in Summer. Their golden year was stopped only a single match short, losing to FunPlus Phoenix in the finals of the World Championship.

Though the whole team has gotten its due, there's no doubt that Caps and Perkz, who have each played in both mid and bot lane for the team, command the greatest spotlight. But in many ways, they stand on the shoulders of a giant - Wunder, whose immense flexibility in top lane allows the team to pivot between multiple styles and find strategic openings that other teams could not.

From traditional carries to champions more commonly commanded by Support players, Wunder has done it all for G2. Once a young prodigy himself, this is how Wunder became the quiet foundation upon which a super-team has been built.
