Why CouRage left Twitch for YouTube Streaming

Now a household name in gaming, Jack 'CouRage' Dunlop started his career in casting, where he made a name for himself and a comfortable living with MLG and Call of Duty commentating.

But, CouRage wasn't happy with just being comfortable - he didn't want to just take part, he wanted to take over.

In 2017, he made a bold decision, and one that shocked the Call of Duty esports community, as he announced he was leaving his full-time role with MLG to become a professional streamer.

Backed by OpTic Gaming, and then owner H3CZ, CouRage went from strength to strength, soon outgrowing OpTic and leaving the organization to go alone.

Now, two years later, he's one of the biggest streamers in the world, and has joined forces with Nadeshot's 100 Thieves.

He still casts too, as one of the primary hosts for the Fortnite World Cup - the biggest prize money event ever in esports, watched by millions. In October 2019, he made another bold decision, to leave Twitch to broadcast exclusively on YouTube as part of a lucrative deal.

On his new platform, he will take the next steps to fulfilling his dream as the world's number one streamer.
