James Morrow, host of Sky News Australia, calls the assertion that supporting the Republicans constituted a threat to democracy "laughable."

"What exactly is the messenger trying to send here if you're labeling the other side fascist and saying you're a fascist if you don't vote for the ruling party, i.e. the Democrats?" Mr. Morrow asked Sky News Australia.

"The majority of people rejected that out of hand, but I also believe the majority of people felt that the Democrats did not really do a good job of connecting with the kitchen table issues that people were worried about."
