Dem Consumer Confidents Wanes
  • last year
A recent survey of consumer sentiment shows that rising anxiety over the cost of living and the direction of the economy could hurt Democrats in the mid-term elections. In a report from the University of Michigan, 37 percent responded that Republicans were better at handling the national economy and issues of personal finance compared to 21 percent who responded that Democrats were better. Thirty-seven percent of respondents said they didn’t think it made a difference which party was in power.
