MIC lodges report against Praba over claim he was offered RM10mil to defect

Federal Territories MIC has lodged a police report against Harapan's Batu candidate P Prabakaran.
This is after the PKR candidate allegedly slandered MIC by claiming the party had offered him RM10 million to join their fold in 2020.
According to a recording of his speech uploaded on TikTok, the incumbent Batu MP claimed he was also offered money to join Bersatu but rejected these deals because he did not want to "betray the people's mandate".
FT MIC chairperson Simon Rajah Simon said even if it was true that MIC was offering cash for defections, Prabakaran was not “important enough” to attract such a lucrative offer.
