Owner and Interim CEO of Twitter ($TWTR@US) Elon Musk plan to cut 3,700 jobs at the company, half of its workforce, in an effort to cut costs. Twitter employees have been bracing for layoffs for weeks. Musk immediately fired the CEO and CFO upon finalizing the purchase of the social media platform, and over the weekend employees with director and vice president jobs were cut. Other company leaders were asked to make lists of employees on their teams to cut.
