CVS To Pay $5b In Opioid Lawsuits
  • last year
CVS ($CVS@US) has agreed to pay $5 billion to settle lawsuits brought by governments and Native American tribes for the pharmacy’s role in the opioid epidemic. The lawsuits allege that CVS pharmacies didn’t do enough to curb the flow of pills into communities. The drugstores have argued that they had tried to prevent pills from being illegally diverted and followed procedures required by regulators.
