The inspiration behind this video:
In Guardians of the Galaxy Gamora was already trying to escape Thanos, and in Avengers: Endgame an alternate timeline Gamora travels from this point in her life to the modern day. While Thanos may be ignorant of the Zehoberei's extinction, Gamora is not. In this case, it would make sense that during her search for the Soul Stone she visited her home world. A flashback to Gamora discovering the remains of the Zehoberei in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 would hit hard after the events of Avengers: Endgame. While the Avengers managed to bring back the victims of the Blip, civilizations purged by Thanos during his quest for the Infinity Stones are gone. This wound will be fresher in the new Gamora's mind and dealing with it may be the crux of her Guardians Vol. 3 arc.
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 has the perfect counter to Thanos' infallibility and can solve a plot hole at the same time. Through Gamora, the film can demonstrate firsthand how short-sighted and flawed Thanos' plan was. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 can explore a post-Blip galaxy and finally lay to rest the misguided idea that Thanos had the right idea, just the wrong execution.
