AGIA International announced plans to develop 60 “ultra-luxurious pavilions and villas” on the site of the Fyre Festival, where Billy MacFarland made similar promises to music festival attendees in 2017. AGIA plans to sell the properties on the island in the Bahamas through a series of NFT mints on the Ethereum blockchain. The Bahamas has positioned itself at the forefront of digital asset innovation. It is the first country in the world to release a central bank digital currency, the Bahamian sand dollar.
