Clorox Recalls , Cleaning Products That , May Contain Bacteria.
NPR reports that on Oct. 25, the Clorox Company announced a recall of its scented multi-surface and all-purpose cleaners. .
The original pine-scented Pine-Sol
is not included in the recall.
However, CloroxPro Pine-Sol All Purpose Cleaners and Clorox Professional Pine-Sol Lemon Fresh Cleaners have been recalled.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the products , "may contain bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an environmental organism found widely in soil and water.".
The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by the bacteria, U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, via recall.
The affected products were made between January 2021 and September 2022.
The commission says consumers may contact the company for a refund if they purchased one of the recalled products.
For a refund, consumers should take a
picture of the UPC and date codes.
It is then advised to throw
the product in the garbage.
