A 6.4-magnitude earthquake rocks the northern Philippines, sending panicked residents into the streets and causing substantial damage to several infrastructures.

In Lagayan town, Abra province -- near the epicenter -- debris is scattered around two Pulot National High School buildings as the quake cracked and destroyed its walls and posts.

Classes have been suspended in the whole province.
