Nutan started her big screen debut as a child artist, at the age of 14, in Hamari Beti (1950). Nutan has given some noteworthy performances in films such as Sujata, Bandini, Milan, Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki, Sone Ki Chidiya, Saraswatichandra, etc. Bandini (1963), in which Nutan played a young prisoner, is widely believed to be her best performance. Nutan acted opposite Dilip Kumar for the first time in the 1986 blockbuster Karma. She also worked with Dev Anand in films like popular films like Paying Guest, Baarish , Manzil and Tere Ghar Ke Samne. She married naval Lieutenant-Commander Rajnish Behl in October 1959.The gorgeous Nutan passed away of cancer in 1991.
