It's one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, but it's frequently deserted. It's right next to Cabo da Roca, making it the westernmost beach on mainland Europe.
Swimming is not recommended at this beach because the water is rarely calm. It's wild and unspoiled because it requires some effort to reach (you'll have to follow a path that goes down a cliff), and those who dare to come here usually take advantage of the isolation and sunbathe naked. The road to Praia da Ursa is not easy, but the scenery is worth the effort. Because there are no facilities, bring water and food if you plan to spend the day here. This is not a beach for families with children or seniors who may not be physically fit enough for the hiking adventure.
