Tropical depression Obet is still moving westward while maintaining its strength, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 20.

Last spotted 650 kilometers (km) east of Basco, Batanes, Obet was packing winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 55 kph. It is moving westward at 15 kph.
