first, we need to know what are mint houses?
Mint house is a place where the coins are minted. these coin minting place is called as mint house.

The Present Mumbai mint house was established in the year 1824 - 1830
Mumbai mint house Mint mark is diamond mint mark.
you can see here in the coin, below the year you can clearly see the diamond shape mint mark.
Diamond shape mint mark on the coin represents the Mumbai mint house,

Kolkata mint house was established in the year 1759-60.
Later modified and reconstructed in the year 1942-1952, Due to second world war there was delay so it took 10 years for modification and re construction.
Kolkata mint house Mint there is no mint mark (plain).
u can see here in the coin, below the year you can clearly see the plain area without any mint mark.
so here u need to understand for Kolkata mint house there is no mint mark.

Hyderabad mint house was established in the year 1803. When this was established Hyderabad mint house is the world’s largest mint house.
But later mint house place was changed and reconstructed in the year 1997.
Hyderabad mint house Mint mark is Star mint mark.
u can see here in the coin, below the year you can clearly see the Star shape mint mark.
you can also find some Hyderabad mint coins having Split Diamond and hole in diamond mint mark this 2 are rare mint marks.
