Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party founder, died on October 10 morning. The three-time Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister died aged 82. Samajwadi Party quoted Mulayam Singh’s son Akhilesh Yadav as saying, “My respected father and everyone's Neta-ji is no more.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “His demise pains me.” Mulayam Singh Yadav first became the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1989.
