Millions in taxpayer funded advertising 'politicised' by governments, new research says

New analysis of taxpayer funded advertising has found tens of millions of dollars has been spent over the last decade on highly politicised campaigns, benefiting the government of the day. The Grattan Institute has analysed spending between 2008 and 2021, it found nearly 50 million dollars out of the 200 million dollars spent yearly on advertising by the federal government, was highly questionable.
