'If you voted Tory you don't deserve to be resuscitated by the NHS': Outrage at nurse's shocking outburst during Jeremy Vine debate years after she ranted about Brexit on Question Time

A nurse has sparked fury by saying live on national television: 'If you voted Tory you don't deserve to be resuscitated by the NHS'. Former NHS nurse Miranda Hughes (pictured left and right, speaking to Jeremy Vine) made the incendiary comments during a live TV debate on Channel 5 last night. The outburst comes after self-proclaimed 'Anti-Tory' Ms Hughes also slammed Brexit as 'absurd' and 'embarrassing' during a rant on BBC Question Time (pictured inset). Her inflammatory remarks about the NHS were made last night on a live debate named 'Britain on the Brink', hosted by Jeremy Vine. After being challenged on the claims, Ms Hughes who now works in the private sector backtracked on her incendiary remarks, insisting: 'No, of course I would, of course I would.' But the comments have sparked fury online (pictured bottom inset, some of the Tweets criticising her comments), with some describing them as 'disgusting' and 'bigotry'. Others pointed out that more than 14million people voted Conservative in the 2019 election.
