28 people fall ill after ammonia gas leak in prawn processing plant in Balasore

Around 28 workers of a prawn processing plant fell ill after ammonia gas leaked in the factory in Balasore on September 28. The factory is a is owned by the son of a former MP of the ruling BJD, Rabindra Jena.

No casualties have been reported so far. All the workers who fell ill have been admitted to hospital. The condition of 4 workers is said to be critical as they reportedly inhaled more ammonia gas.
