Roger Federer finally brought the curtain down on a glittering career in London at the Laver Cup alongside his friend and rival Rafael Nadal.

It wasn’t quite the fairy tale ending Federer would have hoped for, as he and Nadal lost in a deciding tie-break to American duo Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock.

A tearful Federer was overcome with emotion after the game, with the 20-time grand slam champion describing the evening as the end of a 'perfect journey'.
