Severe weather hits south-east Queensland, more than 200mm of rain dumped on Gold Coast hinterland in three hours

A wild storm has created havoc on the Gold Coast dumping more than 200 millimetres of rain in just three hours near Springbrook. The intensity of the storm caught many people by surprise when it hit after midnight.
