Colorado State Now Accepts Crypto
Coloradans can now use digital currency to pay personal and business taxes as well as other types of state taxes. Governor Jared Polis made the announcement on Monday during a news conference that kicked off the 11th Annual Denver Startup Week. “The state will operate our own ledgers in dollars. Taxpayers who pay with crypto will see their transactions converted to dollars,” Polis said. When taxpayers visit the Colorado Department of Revenue website they will now have the payment option of using cryptocurrency. Users will be directed to PayPal ($PYPL@US), where they can choose their preferred crypto.
