Hepatitis is said to be a silent disease, as the huge majority of those infected are not aware of their status, often show no symptoms of the disease, and therefore don’t seek treatment until it’s too late. The WHO has already set the ambitious target of eliminating hepatitis by 2030, including a 90% reduction in new cases of hepatitis B and C infections by the end of the decade. Is Malaysia on track?
