Fuel Companies warned not to bump petrol prices

Fuel companies have been warned not to immediately bump up petrol prices when the federal government's fuel excise discount ends next week. The former coalition government introduced the measure nearly six months ago, as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine caused prices to soar. The NRMA’s spokesperson peter Khoury says he doesn't expect petrol to top two-dollars-20 a litre as seen earlier this year.
