A CBI team from Delhi reached the CBI office in Goa on Sep 16 to take over the death case of Sonali Phogat. It was transferred to the CBI after the file was submitted to the Central agency through the Union Home Ministry on September 12. Goa Police had earlier arrested two of Phogat's associates who "forcefully drugged her". BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat was declared dead at a Goa Hospital in Anjuna on August 23.
