Business owner left mortified after her supplier misspelled 'conditioner' on 500 bottles of her product

A business owner was mortified after her supplier misspelled 'conditioner' on 500 bottles of her product. Bella Chisholm, 26, was horrified when she spotted errors on 500 conditioner bottles she had ordered for her shop, Stevey. The supplier missed an 'i' in conditioner - instead writing 'conditoner' on the stock. The Australian small business, which Bella launched in July this year, sells reusable cosmetics bottles - and she says the mistake rendered the products unusable. Luckily her manufacturer admitted the error and replaced the bottles for free - but her social media followers came up with a savvy solution for the excess stock. Savvy users suggested Bella should start selling a toning conditioner - known as a condi-toner - to take advantage of the error. Bella, from Sydney, Australia, said: "When I noticed the spelling error, I felt overwhelmed with stress and frustration. "It was an error by the manufacturer - they admitted that they used a different template and wrote in the word without cross checking the spelling. "Immediately, they created new stock and sent it out to me - all free of charge because I wasn't at fault. "But actually, TikTok is loving the concept. Some people have said it's great marketing and unique." The error occurred two months ago and luckily was corrected before any stock was sent to customers. The empty bottles are normally sold at £6 each for a travel size, or part of a £24 set for three, along with a matching travel case. Comments on Bella's TikTok video - which garnered 3.2million views - encouraged her to be savvy about the mistake. One said: "Release toning conditioners and you’re sorted." Another agreed: "Then you should invent a toner but conditioner instead of shampoo." A third said: "Time to make some new amazing product." Bella explained: "Many people have suggested I should create a toning conditioner. "However, we don't create the physical beauty product, only the reusable bottle." But she added that the erroneous bottles won't be going to waste. She plans to fill them with conditioner and donate one to a women's shelter with each purchase made. She added that the suggestions to create a condi-toner haven't gone to waste. She said: "I'm not limiting my options. "Maybe in the future I can find a haircare brand to collaborate with."
