Adapted from Carola Lovering’s novel of the same name, the Hulu’s show explores a complicated and toxic relationship that unfolds over the course of 8 years. “We have all had toxic relationships, wether it’s a friendship, or romantic. When you are younger, it is hard to know that you are in something that is not working for your benefit”, says Emma Roberts during this interview. For Karah Preiss, the hardest thing producing the series was to “find actors that can make Meaghan’s amazing script feel real, and organic and authentic, and I believe this cast really did that”. In TELL ME LIES, when Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco meet at college, they are at that formative age when seemingly mundane choices lead the way to irrevocable consequences. Although their relationship begins like any typical campus romance, they quickly fall into an addictive entanglement that will permanently alter not only their lives, but the lives of everyone around them. The series stars Grace Van Patten, Jackson White, Branden Cook, Sonia Mena, Catherine Missal, Benjamin Wadsworth, and Alicia Crowder. TELL ME LIES is now streaming on Hulu.
