Students of Bangalore University in Karnataka staged a protest opposing the construction of a Ganesh temple on campus. The students have opposed the construction of the temple and sought for a library instead.

The students said that despite the opposition from the registrar and the vice-chancellor, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is hellbent on constructing the temple inside the university premises.
