Nigerians and Sierra Leoneans react to Queen Elizabeth's death

"I remember she gave us our independence on a platter of gold and that am grateful about. And of course, may her soul rest in perfect peace," says a resident of Abuja. Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-serving monarch in British history, passed away aged 96 at her Scottish Highland retreat.
Nigeria was ruled by the British Empire from the mid-nineteenth century until 1960.
