The Group Image from Mahattan, New York released one album in 1968. The band was a hippie tribe that has been turning on with sound and light in a couple of off-Broadway ballrooms in the East Village. Despite all, their sound was more close to the West Coast sounds, psych rock-pop, with hints of crazed proto-punk, some neat feedback, gnarly fuzz guitars , furious drivin' rhythm section, and male/female vocals.
Sheila Darla - vocals.
Arty (Dr. Hok) Schlackman - lead guitar.
Rick Kunstler - guitar, vocals.
Paul Merrill - rhythm guitar.
Doug Metzler - bass.
Marty Perrin, Luther Rix - drums.
Aunt Ida.
A way to love you all the time.
Moonlit dip.
Voices calling me.
New romancing.
Hiya.
Banana split.
My man.
Grew up all wrong.
The treat.
