'Shocked and deeply pained': Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Cyrus Mistry's death

Tributes are pouring in for former Tata group chairman, Cyrus Mistry, after he was killed in a road accident on Sunday.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took to Twitter to react to the news of the business tycoon's death and said he is "shocked and deeply pained". He added that he spoke to the Director General of Police (DGP) and gave instructions for detailed investigations.

He wrote, "Shocked and deeply pained to know about the demise of former Chairman of Tata Sons Shri Cyrus Mistry in an unfortunate accident near Palghar. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Om Shanti. Spoke to DGP and instructed for detailed investigations."
