Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad quit the party. He sent a 5-page resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi and resigned from all party posts. Ghulam Nabi wrote that ever since Rahul Gandhi's entry in the party and especially in 2013 when he became National Vice President of Congress, he has destroyed the party’s existing consultive mechanisms.
