What the hell is happening in Pakistan today???
Poverty in Pakistan. It’s a concept that shouldn’t be a thing here. Well, look around today and you’ll see a lot of us are struggling. For many it’s their own fault - lots of us are broke because of decisions we made. But plenty of Pakistanis live in poverty because of things outside of their control. Perhaps it was a loss of jobs. Or in many cases, it’s the cost of living.
Yes, poverty is a complicated issue here in Pakistan. And no matter who is in office, it’s a problem without an end in sight.
The way we’re going to measure poverty in this video is simple - we’re going to look at which cities have the highest percentage of its residents below the poverty line. And I’m confident you will be shocked by some of what we’ll talk about.
It’s tough out there in Pakistan for millions of us. For a lot of Pakistanis, there’s no real optimism. If you’re in poverty or close to it - at least you’re not alone. Today, we’re going to visit the poorest states in Pakistan and talk about WHY these places are poor.
