A gallant stand from the Philippines as the national team opened its campaign in the AVC Cup for women. The women's national team went all out against regional powerhouse Vietnam last night. That's despite missing some players as well as its head coach. But Vietnam over-powered the Philippines for the straight sets win 25-19, 25-17, and 31-29.

The team is made up of the Creamline Cool Smashers that won the PVL Invitational Conference. They will resume their campaign tomorrow against China.

Joining us to go all out on this story is Michelle Gumabao of the women's national volleyball team.
