सिर में गांठ के लक्षण कई प्रकार के होते हैं. कभी-कभी किसी छोटी-मोटी बीमारी के कारण भी गांठ बनती है. पर कभी-कभी बिना किसी कारण के शरीर में कहीं भी गांठ निकल आती है. कभी ये गांठ दर्द के साथ होते हैं तो कभी ये गांठ बिना दर्द के भी होते हैं. यदि गांठ के साथ खून आ रहा हो तो यह कैंसर का लक्षण हो सकता है. अधिकतर कैंसर की शुरुआत गांठ से ही होती है. शुरुआती में गांठ छोटा होता है और उसमें दर्द नहीं रहता है तो लोग इसे नजरअंदाज कर देते हैं. पर इसे नजरअंदाज न करके तुरत अपने चिकित्सक से इसकी जांच करानी चाहिए व उचित इलाज करानी चाहिए.
