Australian academic Sean Turnell who is on trial with Myanmar’s ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi has testified in court for the first time. Professor Turnell served as an adviser to Suu Kyi and has been in detention since his arrest during the military coup last year. A legal official familiar with the case says he's pleaded not guilty to charges of violating Myanmar’s official secrets law.
