Beast cast members Idris Elba, Iyana Halley, Leah Jeffries, Sharlto Copley, and producer Will Packer gathered for the premiere of the thriller last night at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The star of the film wore Gucci. He cleaned up well from his role as Dr. Nate Daniels, a recently widowed husband of two teenage daughters, who find themselves fighting for survival from one of the most blood-thirsty predators on the planet. The story follows the family of three on a trip to South Africa, where Dr. Daniels first met his wife. However, what is supposed to be a healing adventure takes a horrifying turn when they find themselves hunted by a massive rogue lion. Like his character, Elba is a father of two. He brought his 20-year-old daughter Isan to the red carpet event. He channeled his love for his kids into his character. 'I could relate to the character, the words, and the feelings in the script," Elba told us. 'It was really important that I connect with that guy because I would have done the same for my kids, no doubt.' Catch the movie in theaters on August 19th.
