After partnering together years ago, Sonos claimed Google stole its speaker technology for Google Home and other products.
Months later, Google countersued, saying
Sonos infringed on its patents as well.
Sonos retaliated by suing yet again. .
In January, the U.S. International Trade Commission ruled that Google had violated Sonos' patents, .
which forced the company to
adjust some of its products' features.
Now, Google has filed two new lawsuits alleging Sonos has infringed upon seven of its patents. .
The suits zero in on hotword detection, wireless charging and the way in which a group of speakers decides which should respond to voice commands. .

José Castañeda, Google spokesperson, says the company seeks to “defend our technology and challenge Sonos’ clear,
continued infringement of our patents.”.
The company also plans on filing similar lawsuits
with the U.S. International Trade Commission.
The Verge reports that Sonos views the new lawsuits as an "intimidation tactic" and says, "it will not succeed."
