Political journey of Jagdeep Dhankhar since 1989

Former West Bengal governor and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar swept the vote bank and coasted to victory to become the 14th Vice President of India on Saturday. Jagdeep Dhankhar received 528 votes, defeating joint opposition candidate Margaret Alva, who got 182 votes. Notably, Dhankhar forayed into politics in 1989 and was elected to Lok Sabha from Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu the same year. He served as a minister of state for Parliamentary Affairs in the Janata Dal government led by Chandra Shekhar. Watch his political journey so far.
