Droupadi Murmu is an Indian politician who is the 15th and current President of India since 25 July 2022. She is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. She is the first person belonging to the tribal community and also the second woman after Pratibha Patil to hold the President's office

She is the first governor of Jharkhand to finish the 5-year term. She was elected president after winning the 2022 election in a landslide victory.
