A state funeral for former President Fidel V. Ramos has been scheduled for August 9. That confirmation coming from Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles.
Citing security reasons, Cruz-Angeles says there is still no word on whether President Bongbong Marcos will attend the wake. The last state funeral for a president was in 1997 for Diosdado Macapagal.
Ramos' hometown in the province of Pangasinan is planning to build a memorial museum in his honor.
